Philosophy:
LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL OF HAWAII has a double mission—to aid Christian parents in the development of their children’s academic potential as well as their faith in Christ. In this regard, LHS provides a unique alternative to the standard school. A well-rounded program of academic and religious instruction helps students develop wholesome values and Christian ethics as well as academic knowledge. A dedicated staff of Christian professionals provides a learning environment of encouragement, understanding and love; a superior academic program to develop well-informed, responsible citizens; and a model for developing a student’s lifelong faith in Christ.
Curriculum:
LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL OF HAWAII offers a college preparatory curriculum of English, Honors English, social sciences, science, mathematics, AP calculus, foreign language (Japanese and Spanish) and religion. Also available are computer classes, art and AP art, music, foods and nutrition, and independent study. Extracurricular activities include student government, chapel ministry team, ILH and PAC-5 sports, cheerleading, foreign language clubs, drama, three student publications (newspaper, yearbook, art/literary magazine) and hula.

Fully Accredited: WASC, NLSA and HAIS
